The Grove is a quiet contemplative place evoking hope, the part of the Harvey Milk story that resonates with many people. Here, visitors will find a landscape with 11 trees to symbolize the 11 months Harvey served in office before his assassination. The intimately scaled park setting will invite visitors to reconnect with the feeling of hope that each of us carries within ourselves.
